Thank you for visiting my website. I feel privileged that you are happy to drop in and hope you can feel at home here. I have a legal duty to let you know about my privacy policy, but I also have the duty of a host to a welcome guest to make you feel comfortable.
Cookies
The privacy of my visitors is important to me and I recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. These are the types of personal information I receive and collect when you visit, and how I safeguard your information. I never sell your personal information to third parties.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site.
I will use third party advertisements to support this site when I work out how to add them. I also will be adding affiliate marketing when I can figure it out. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on this site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites). You can disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to leave a comment.
Outside websites
My blog posts sometimes contain links to other websites, and I am not responsible for content or the privacy policies on other websites.
Comment Policy
I love reading your comments, and by leaving a comment you accept that:
Comments may be published at the bottom of blog posts.
Whatever you enter into the ‘name’ field will be public, so you may wish to use your first name or an alias.
Your email address is not published, and by leaving a comment with your email address you are not subscribing to any newsletters from me (you might choose to be emailed when someone replies to your comment, and there is a link to unsubscribe in any emails you are sent.)
Your IP address will be logged when you leave a comment, this is not for public viewing.
Comments are held for moderation, and I approve them at my discretion.
Subject Access Request
If you want to see a copy of the information I hold about you, under section 7 of the Data Protection Act then please leave a comment (which will not be published), with your name and email address. This is the fastest way to contact me or you can send a message on Facebook. Your email needs to come from the email address you used, so that I can make sure I am not sending personal data to the wrong person. If you no longer have access to the email account you used, then you will still need to let me know which email address you used, and provide photographic proof of ID such as a photo of your driving license.
Please note that the law permits me 40 days to respond to a Subject Access Request.
Data breaches
If any data breaches do take place then I will let you know as soon as I am made aware of it.
